The Time Line of East Wind Caterers
1991 - A Small Knights of Columbus building was purchased and transformed into what is now known as the Country Gardens
1992 - The Country Gardens undergoes expansion. The two acres of land adjacent to the original building is purchased and meticulously landscaped. Within the gardens, the Pavilion is constructed to accommodate both indoor and outdoor cocktail receptions.
1993 - In response to the overwhelming success of the Country Garden, plans for a second building is underway, to suit the demand for larger events.
1995 - The Estate, nestled within four acres behind the Country Gardens, celebrates its grand opening.
1998 - Ground breaks for the biggest project Wading River has ever seen, The Inn at East Wind. Sprawling over eleven acres, The Inn at East Wind is the realization of a vision to combine luxurious elegance with a myriad of services and amenities.
2002 - A landmark is established. The Inn launches the opening of guest rooms and the first event is hosted in the Grand Ballroom.
2003 - A legacy is celebrated. Within the heart of the Inn, Desmond‚s restaurant and lounge opens to the public. The Spa at East Wind make public for services and treatments.
Fall 2006 - The unveiling of the all new Spa at East Wind. Now occupying more than ten thousand square feet, The Spa at East Winds features the most innovative treatments for the mind, body and soul.

The East End's Peconic Bay Medical Center honored Kenney Barra as a 2008 Candlelight Ball Honoree; having appointed him to its hospital board in 2007 and its foundation board in 2006, recognizing Kenn as a dedicated family man whose charitable work has been acknowledged by the community.
