Our wedding was a dream come true.
For those of you who don’t know, I am legally blind (and have a guide dog). Because of this, we were in search of a venue and vendors who would be accommodating and helpful throughout the planning process and on our wedding day. I wish I could better put into words how great our vendors were with our special circumstances. Our Maître ‘d (Kathleen) and Bridal Attendant (Judy) blew us away with how helpful they were. Kathleen made sure to set aside time for Zach and me to see our reception area before our guests arrived. She brought me around and verbally explained the setup in detail. This may seem silly or unimportant to many, but it nearly brought me to tears. Although I couldn’t necessarily “see” all that was going on throughout the day, I felt I was able to capture it all because of her descriptions. I think this speaks to the all around high quality of East Wind and its staff. This added a special touch to our—already perfect—day. The same went for our photographer. Keith (whose photos came out beautifully) made sure I was always looking at the camera, and made sure to capture every special moment. Our DJ, Kevin, did a decent job, as did our videographer, Jim. We haven’t gotten our trailer yet, so I can’t really speak to the quality of his work. Kara, who put together our bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres, did a beautiful job and had extremely reasonable prices. As I’m sure everyone who has been to East Wind knows, the food was incredible: we’re still getting compliments on it. Overall, everything about the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception was perfect. Our wedding was a dream come true. Oh, and our Sandals honeymoon was beautiful!
